Historically, Strand Freight Systems began its way in Brooklyn, New York, in 1981 with the mission of meeting the demand for a better alternative to the international moving services than were, at that time, available in the market.

After 30 years of operation from our Brooklyn Navy Yard hub, Strand moved its US operations to a new hub in Hillside, New Jersey.

The greater size of this facility, its layout, and its proximity to the port allow us better control over shipping logistics and to pass some of the savings gained to our customers.

Furthermore, the recent move allows Strand to expand its services to additional destinations overseas, as well as to Art and Record Storage.
